Across the surveyed base, uncollected or late fees average 5.2% of billed revenue. Extrapolated to ~1.5 million K-12 schools (UDISE+ 2024-25), that's roughly ₹4,200 crore of recoverable revenue sitting in ageing receivables — of which schools using automated WhatsApp + email reminder cadences recover 58–72%.
Digital-first adoption in tier-1 cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad) hit 61%. In tier-2 and tier-3 cities the same figure is 22%. The largest single blocker in tier-2/3 is not price — it's Marathi/Hindi/regional-language parent apps.
Year-on-year new deployments: State board +48%, CBSE +19%, ICSE +11%. State boards are moving because of e-governance mandates from state education departments (Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat lead).
Median open rate for a school-branded push notification is 71% within 30 minutes. SMS: 21%. Email: 14%. Schools that migrated absence notifications from SMS to push reduced parent-support calls by an average of 38%.
Median list price per student per month fell from ₹18 (2024) to ₹12 (2026) as vendor competition intensified. However median contract value rose 27% because schools bundle transport, hostel and library modules that used to be point solutions.
